Why have me as your wedding planner?

I have such a genuine love for this job I have jumped into head first. Honestly, my background isn’t weddings or events. But whilst planning my own wedding, I absolutely fell in love with the planning process but I also found it very hard to find suppliers that matched my style. It took me so much time, time wasting and millions of emails, in the end I found the most incredible suppliers for my day as well as meeting so many other wonderful ones on the way.
I am very lucky that I am able to help other couples find suppliers that match their vibe and help them avoid the big stresses (and emails) of the planning process so it can be an enjoyable and beautiful experience.

What if you are ill on the day of our wedding?

Trust me, I would have to be kidnapped and on a plane to Mexico for me not to be there.
But incase of that very strange event, or if I am personally booked on that day, I have incredible staff and other planners that I work with.
In the event of someone else attending instead of me, you will know everything about that person and they will know everything about you and your day, so it will still be perfect!

Will you help dress the venue?

Yes, absolutely. During our phone calls we will establish your style and I will create your dream. You won’t have to worry about a thing!
I even have my toolbox of ‘bits’!

What is the difference between venue coordinators and on the day wedding planners?

Venue coordinators are incredible and are a super important part of the day. We work closely together on the day but our jobs are different.
Venue coordinators are there to manage the venue, and all moving parts surrounding this. They are only on-site and available during standard working hours, ie 9-5pm.

As a wedding planner, I am solely yours all day. I am there to manage and support you and your day.

The venue coordinator will not usually take over supplier communication prior to the wedding. I will have spent time talking to you, planning your perfect day and talking to your suppliers to putting together an itinerary for the day, meaning I am fully prepared.

Will you have an assistant on the day?

This depends on many things like, the size of the wedding, whether it is a dry hire venue, how many suppliers etc.

Can you work within our budget?

Yes, absolutely. Each step of the planning process I will be keeping track of your budget. I will be honest about what I think is out of budget and find you alternatives.
Having a wedding planner is an investment that gives you the perks of me being able to get the best rates from all of the suppliers as well as utilising the suppliers that I work closely with, in short, having a wedding planner can save you a lot of money.

We had our wedding at our house, but we really didn’t want to have to spend most the day sorting stuff out, getting suppliers set up etc. So we found Laurel after reading all the wonderful reviews and booked her to come and make sure our day went smoothly. She took over all correspondence with suppliers just before and on the day so we didn’t have to think about anything. She didn’t disappoint! She was amazing on the day, even though the wedding was at our house I didn’t feel stressed about having to sort anything out because Laurel was on it. Having worked in corporate events for 10 years, I took on quite a challenge when I started planning my own DIY wedding.

I hired Laurel to coordinate the day, but she took over all supplier comms beforehand - which really meant that I could focus on enjoying the lead up and celebrations of our big day. I had a slightly non-traditional wedding, with a micro ceremony on a Friday night and a garden party at home on the Saturday. It was fairly short notice- hired Nya Rue events just before Christmas and the wedding was mid-April- so I am so incredibly glad I hired Laurel to plan the party. Throughout the whole thing she understood my vision and made it happen, on budget, and smooth as anything. The caterers she found me were fantastic, and everything was exactly as I wanted. Level of communication was perfect for me; and completely un-pushy. Laurel would suggest various extras I might like, but if I didn't want them, that was that.

I felt so understood all the way through and was absolutely delighted with the results. Hiring her allowed myself and my family to relax and actually enjoy our party! Thank you so much for everything!
